NSD SE&I Program. Cyber program for DHS - protecting the .gov infrastructure. Vencore provides systems engineering and integration support for the National Cybersecurity Protection System. Vencore support ensures that development efforts stay in sync with customer needs, line up with the existing environment, and fit within the strategic vision. Vencore helps the Government develop and mature the management, engineering and configuration management processes to ensure the program remains in compliance with DHS policies. Vencore supports activities that include acquisition support, planning and scheduling, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, systems engineering, architecture, technology insertion, data management, interface controls, testing, and security certification and accreditation support.
The applicant will manage cybersecurity projects through the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle while ensuring necessary compliance with SE Processes (Requirements, Architecture, Design, Test, Information Assurance, Configuration Management, etc). The applicant should be familiar with the Systems Engineering “V” and be able to apply principles from it to the projects they manage. Familiarity with the DHS Directive 102 is desired. Also desired is familiarity with agile development processes including Scrum, Kanban, DevOpsSec and SAFe.
The applicant should show great initiative to seek out new tasks and efforts. The applicant should be comfortable both managing projects and incorporating process improvements to improve program efficiencies. The applicant should also have strong communication skills to work with other contractor teams as well as government customer organizations. Tasks will include developing project plans, facilitating technical exchange meetings, ensuring on-time delivery of project deliverables, and development of gate review briefings for adequate situational awareness.
Applicant should have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio) and Microsoft SharePoint. Any familiarity with DOORS, JIRA, System Architect, and ERWIN will be strongly considered
Requires 8 years with BS/BA or 6+ years with MS/MA.
Experience supporting IT domain or IC desired.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited collegeor university in a business or technical discipline.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communications skills.
**Must have active TS/SCI, DHS Suitability would be preferable.
