Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Staff in Denver, Colorado
As the KOS Stan/Eval Branch Lead, duties include, but are not be limited to: • Filling in as the Operations Division Manager or as one of the other Operations Division Branch Leads during their absences • Initiating/conducting/directing error investigations and briefing KOS, AF leadership and KOS personnel on results • Briefing KOS and Air Force leadership on evaluation status, KOG status, and other requested topics • Ensuring a sufficient number of evaluators are trained and qualified, at all times, for each operational crew position • Ensuring comprehensive evaluation scripts are developed and maintained for each operational crew position • Ensuring supplemental evaluation materials are developed and administered, as required • Ensuring all new crew hires are provided prompt Initial Evaluations following training completion • Ensuring all operational instructions and guides are up-to-date and accurate • Ensuring all personnel folders, files and the evaluations database are maintained and accurate • Providing evaluation trending reports for feedback and process improvement while also providing corrective courses of action, as required • Ensuring the KOS Task List (KTL) and Training and Evaluation Performance Standards (TEPs) are accurately maintained and utilized to evaluate the KOS Crew Force to a minimum standard • Ensuring an evaluations schedule is developed which allows for flexibility across a calendar year and encompasses 100% of the crew force • Ensuring 100% of crew force evaluations for all KOS crew positions are provided, to include all required Initial, Qualification, and No-Notice evaluations, by the end of each calendar year • Ensuring 100% of required evaluations/re-evaluations are accomplished prior to having a crew member participate on an operational campaign • Ensuring a Stan/Eval Representative supports, or responds to, all operational product peer reviews, working groups, etc. • Ensuring all deliverables and products are completed by their suspense dates for all working groups/punchlists, CODs, CIFs, TPs, KOGs, etc. • Ensuring Stan/Eval Subject Matter Expert (SME) support is provided, as required • Ensuring all operational products in BORG are reviewed • Ensuring SPOT evaluations are performed, as required/necessary • Maintaining personal crew qualification(s) • Performing an adequate number of proficiency shifts as a qualified KOS operator • Ability to maintain a TS/SCI level clearance is a requirement for this position
Basic Qualifications - Must be a qualified KOS operator - Significant experience in working with real-time operational, satellite systems - Demonstrated experience maintaining situational awareness of satellite system activities - Demonstrated teamwork, communications, and inter-personal skills - Demonstrated ability to identify technical issues, and provide technical recommendations for system issues and anomaly responses - Excellent communication skills - Strong personal interaction skills - Must be able to work day, swing, and mid shifts
Desired skills - Demonstrated experience in leading a group - Demonstrated experience in the area of Telemetry, Tracking and Commanding (TT&C), Ground Control (GC), and Mission Management (MM) scheduling operations - Demonstrated experience with on-orbit satellite operations and direct service to Air Force customer - Demonstrated experience monitoring and analyzing satellite telemetry - Demonstrated experience maintaining situational awareness of mission management scheduling activities - Demonstrated ability to identify scheduling issues, and provide real-time changes to the mission management plan
