Performs routine and advanced technical work requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks with no direct supervision. This person provides guidance and direction to personnel on engineering and technical environmental issues and programs. Typical assignments have clear and specified objectives and are in the form of design, problem solving and technical support for company environmental compliance and stewardship. Shows expert knowledge and application of regulatoryolicy scientific and/or engineering skills associated with the Federal Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) Rule and State part 115 requirements pertaining to coal ash (CCR). Has advanced experience in other regulatory and technical areas (ie: remediation, water permitting) necessary to develop strategic direction for CCR projects.This person is expected to identify and lead in the development and implementation of solutions to complex environmental challenges. This person independently identifies, evaluates and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. This person does not generally receive instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.Key Accountabilities :* Leads in developing and managing the Company's CCR program, providing project/field engineering services for simple and complex CCR projects; leads in the development and management of CCR related projects and programs; leads in the development and implementation of environmental training for State and Federal CCR requirements.* Keeps abreast and recommends current and new technology as appropriate for application of CCR requirements associated with solutions for groundwater and CCR unit closure.* Leads in the review and interpretation of environmental regulations and proposed regulatory changes to assess impact and to ensure compliance.* Works independently or within a team to recommend and implement solutions involving the engineering, design, operation, and maintenance of company assets.* Leads in ensuring environmental regulatory compliance by monitoring, reporting, developing and implementing procedures and strategies.* Leads performs, coordinates and recommends solutions for environmental i
