The Safety Engineer leads and manages Safety and Health for identified client groups. Ensures that client group needs are met in the areas of policy/program/procedure implementation, interpretation and maintenance; safety and health regulation compliance; industrial hygiene; emergency preparation and response; safety inspections; hazard assessment and evaluation, incident investigation and follow-up; accident prevention efforts; and advice and consultation on safety and health matters. Serve as the primary contact for Industrial Hygiene. Provides back-up support and assistance to other members of the Safety Department in meeting the safety and health needs of the Jesup Mill. Required Qualifications B.S. Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related science. Minimum 4 years� experience in an industrial safety and health professional role. Process Safety management preferred. Heavy manufacturing, Pulp and Paper industry, chemical processing, petrochemical or refining experience is highly preferred. Well versed in OSHA and related standards and regulations. Strong working knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and techniques.
