Position Description

Performs a variety of complex engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the design and development of electric/electronic devices and systems applied to new or existing products. Evaluates progress and results of projects. Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides knowledge and experience of electronics hardware, software and controls development

  • Designs and troubleshoots electrical/electronic assemblies and systems

  • Confirms system and component capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties

  • Develops moderately complex controls and algorithms

  • Develops and fabricates of moderately complex working concept prototypes

  • Assists with electrical troubleshooting

  • Studies electronics systems and emerging trends within our target markets and outside markets

  • Search out and develop conceptual electronic product solutions

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and use of electrical/electronic control circuits and systems

  • Strong understanding of microprocessor controllers

  • Broad knowledge of software languages and tools: C/C#/C++, Assembly, Visual Basic, .NET

  • Experience in the use of MATLAB, PSPICE, and Circuit Board CAD software

  • Knowledgeable in advanced software development (embedded, PC, Mobile Device Apps)

  • Knowledgeable in moderately complex sensor application and instrumentation development

  • Comprehensive knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations

  • Well-developed knowledge of internal combustion engines and related products

  • Strong communication skills to explain designs and logic used

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience Requirements

  • Five years of professional engineering experience

  • Travel Required
