WSP is currently initiating a search for an Electrical Engineer II for our New York City office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Scheduling, coordinating, and performing inspections for movable bridges and preparing/submitting inspection reports to clients.
Preparing contract design documents (design plans, specifications, and cost estimates) for rehabilitation or replacement of movable bridge electrical systems.
Preparing design criteria documents, calculations, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and other required systems for transportation related projects.
Attending client meetings and preparing meeting minutes and field reports.
Preparing construction cost estimates for designs and extra work on construction projects.

3+ years’ experience designing electrical systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Working knowledge of building codes, energy codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to Pass a SWAC Background check.
Valid Driver’s license required.
AutoCAD and Micro Station desirable.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering desirable.
Professional Engineer’s license or ability to obtain a PE license desirable.
