JOB SUMMARY : Work on multiple, concurrent initiatives in order to provide significant value through increased efficiency or incremental revenue. Ideal candidates would have a strong understanding of, and demonstrated analytical and leadership experience in theme park, consulting, supply chain, staffing/scheduling, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), or manufacturing environments.


Initiatives and projects can apply to any and all operating divisions within Universal Parks and Resorts and include the following:

  • Developing and executing data collection studies to create labor standards and run optimization models to reduce labor cost by affecting labor budgets and schedules.

  • Developing optimized seasonal hiring plans and meeting with client groups to review, understand differences, and update models as needed.

  • Supporting capacity planning initiatives by leading data collection studies, querying information for development of planning metrics, creating simulations, and establishing requirements for planned growth.

  • Developing future processes and tools using R, Python, and other statistical modeling software to drive operational improvements.

  • Managing interns, co-ops, and/or entry level Industrial Engineers and executing strategic plans for growing our department.

SCOPE: Initiatives and process improvement efforts can apply to any and all operating divisions within Universal Orlando Resort. Pricing applies to non-admission products (i.e. Express, Food, Merch, Vacations, etc.)

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred (Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science or equivalent)

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
