ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the EHS Director in the development and implementation of EHS programs, policies, procedures and best practice techniques to reduce or eliminate risk to the organization.
Value Stream Owner for development establishes continuous improvement, and implementation of the Safety Basics curriculum. This includes an internal certification program for trained-trainers and associates of all levels.
Supports company-wide EHS initiatives as a coach and mentor to company leadership and the EHS Steering Team.
Supports the development and continuous improvement of systems to drive EHS compliance, education and culture.
Maintains working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations, as well as ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 guidelines.
Maintains professional certifications & continued education to stay current in the EHS field.
Bachelors in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related field
Must be knowledgeable with OSHA and EPA regulations
At least 3 years of experience in environmental, health & safety or related field within a manufacturing environment
Specific experience as an EHS trainer, coach and mentor is required
Experience working and leading activities listed in the job description
The ability to lead inter-departmental EHS initiatives with little direction
Candidate must have excellent presentation & facilitation skills
