You have phenomenal system architecture fundamentals. This means you have a deep understanding of how data flows in a system and you've developed an intuition on product definition and can apply it to new features because you understand what matters and how to build it
Must have strong analytical skills to lead the team on key systems engineering architectural and implementation trade-offs on high performance, low power, and high quality products
Experience designing high volume products from beginning to end as well as experience creating and influencing system specification documents
Strong verbal communication skills across organizations and at the executive level
Excellent written skills for clear reporting of data analysis and conclusions

Apple is seeking a highly motivated, energetic System Architecture Engineering Manager to manage a team of architects tasked with delivering amazing products only Apple could imagine and more importantly deliver. Our team is responsible driving product definition and architecture by partnering with internal silicon teams, cross-functional teams and for innovating on new product features. To be a successful manager on our team, you need have two key attributes:
You have excellent engineering skills. Your team will be a collection of rock star architects, and they’ll expect you to be able to keep up with them. This means you have deep experience in consumer electronics architecture, and you love being in the details and getting into the details whenever possible.
You have a strong dynamic personality that enables you to be a leader. Your leadership enables you to direct and focus a strong technical team. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, and skilled in working through it in order to bring clarity to your team and peers. You motivate by building relationships and inspiring others to want to support you and your team.
BS/MS/PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering
