CSRA is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead. The Lead Systems Engineer shall serve as the senior technical adviser to the DMDC, serving as the subject-matter expert on sustainment issues involving Defense Manpower Database Center (DMDC)’s IT environments.
The Defense Manpower Database Center (DMDC) supports major programs and initiatives within the Department of Defense (DoD) and maintains the largest archive of personnel, manpower, training, security and financial data within the DoD. The scope of this effort, Enterprise Management Information Technology Services (EMITS), is to provide a full range of Information Technology (IT) related services and technical solutions. This effort will provide support to DMDC to consolidate legacy data centers into a single operational and fail-over site as well as streamline its functions in support of its future operations. Lastly, the contractor shall remain abreast of emerging technologies in the marketplace and recommend changes, modifications, and upgrades and industry best practices. Overall Program tasks are expected to include: (1) Provide Program Management; (2) Provide Transition Support (3) Policy, Procedures, and Operations Support; (4) IT Core Services Support; (5) Customer Services Support; and (6) Transformational IT Support.
Serve as Senior technical advisor to DMDC,
Serve as the subject-matter expert on sustainment issues involving DMDC’s IT environments.
Experience providing enterprise-level IT architecture and engineering services similar in scope to this Task Order, including supporting environment with over 500 servers
Experience briefing and presenting to senior organizational managers
Experience in one or more computer environments (e.g., EMC (storage), Microsoft, Juniper (firewall/routers), Cisco, VMware, IBM, Oracle, etc.).
Significant experience in detailed practices for IT service management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business.
Experience providing systems engineering to DoD organizations in both the NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments.
Clearance Required: Minimum: Position of Trust; Highly Desirable: Secret SSBI or Interim TS
Minimum 15 years IT experience.
Minimum 5 years supporting large-scale enterprise-level services.
Minimum education BS/BA, however MS/MA is desirable.
Minimum Lead Systems Engineer Certifications:
DoDI 8570.01 Level III Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) certification.
One or more computer environment certifications (e.g., EMC (storage), Microsoft, Juniper (firewall/routers), Cisco, VMware, IBM, Oracle, etc.).
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in cloud computing technologies.
Demonstrated experience supporting automation of DevOps and Software defined data center.
Skills in cloud computing technologies.
Skills supporting automation of DevOps and Software defined data center.
Desirable Lead Systems Engineer Certifications: Two or more computer environment certifications (e.g., EMC, Microsoft, Juniper, Cisco, VMware, IBM, Oracle, etc.).
