Space Systems Engineering SME
LinQuest was recently awarded a 5-year contract to support an USG advanced program office providing system engineering, program management, acquisition support and high-end engineering. Our team is seeking a Space Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert to make an impact on advanced weapon systems to serve the warfighter. We are seeking a SME with 15+ years of experience in Space Systems, Systems Architecture, Electronic Warfare Sensor Development and Information Assurance. The SME must have the ability to bring far-reaching advancing technology into operations to satisfy an emerging threat. Past experience knowledge and experience on ACAT I or equivalent development programs to include: research, design, development, test and fielding across a product’s full-lifecycle are required.
Provide space systems engineering subject matter expertise to emerging USAF Air and Space -related mission areas.
Apply analytic techniques to assess emerging new developments and technology investments.
Perform Analyses of Alternatives and provide System of Systems (SoS) and Family of Systems (FoS) recommendations to meet current and emerging USAF emerging mission requirements.
Assist Air Force Program Managers in executing the development planning process including evaluating Development Planning (DP) requests, developing the concept characterization and technical description document, assisting the government in staffing, and interfacing with variety of stakeholders.
Assist in the development of candidate architectures which are more resilient to emerging threats and/or are more affordable than existing architectures and systems; provide detailed analysis to bolster/support investment decisions, orbit characterization, performance, resilience, costing, trade-space characterization, and requirements mapping. Assist Air Force in executing the development planning process including evaluating Development Planning (DP) requests, developing the concept characterization and technical description document, assisting the government in staffing, and interfacing with variety of stakeholders.
Broad range of experiences in system architecting, modeling, simulation, analysis, developing concepts, early systems engineering, soliciting concepts from industry and stakeholders
The SME must have Chief Engineer level engineering skills and credentials as well as knowledge and experience developing ACAT I or equivalent space systems to include: establishing and executing a comprehensive, DoD compliant program systems engineering process; development and integration of Space Segments and Ground Segments into USAF infrastructure; and development and implementation of Interface Control Documentation for Space Systems.
BSEE/CS/Engineer or related technology required
Active TS/SCI is required
15+ years in a highly technical field to include: Space, Satellite, Avionics, Materials, SE&I, Acquisition and Cyber security.
Experience supporting ACAT I programs highly desirable
