This is a manufacturing engineering role with a focus on driving VA/VE activity and establishing DFMA criteria. It will be responsible for development of manufacturing test systems and incorporate the utilization of lean principles and a continuous improvement business model. It is an integral part of a highly effective manufacturing team and will consist of working cross-functionally with other business groups and leading change on the operations floor. Strong communication and swift execution will be expected as ensuing projects are fundamental to business productivity and growth.


  • Continuously strive to improve the sustainment and effectiveness of operational processes

  • Proliferate employee engagement through inclusion and communication with factory personnel

  • Drive VA/VE activity, enhanced process quality, and productivity opportunities

  • Promote design for manufacturability(DFMA) best practice in DFMEA and PFMEA reviews

  • Coordinate implementation of new product and existing product changes into production

  • Develop manufacturing test systems and requirements

  • Collaborate cross functionally to manage project execution

  • Establish optimum project plans to effectively meet business objectives

  • Design production fixtures to facilitate testing, assembly, and quality

  • Propose, evaluate and justify expenditures for new capital equipment and improvement to existing tooling and fixtures

  • Perform root cause analysis on known quality concerns and develop permanent corrective actions

  • Facilitate fabrication and assembly activities to ensure adherence to design requirements and customer specification

  • Prepare and lead RIE events which target efficiency improvement and cost reduction

  • Drive resolution for new and recurring maintenance of business issues

  • Develop and maintain accurate standard work for operating processes

  • Regulate and display detailed work instructions

  • Maintain and optimize operational equipment

  • Perform associated responsibilities as required




  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability of cross-functional communication, both written and verbal

  • Confidence when handling tooling and operational equipment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation

  • Initiative – proactive in completion of tasks and utilizes a natural curiosity

  • Assertiveness – readily offers opinion and facilitates change where necessary

  • Organized – prioritizes wisely and is an effective multitasker


  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field

  • Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing engineering role or related area

  • Project(s) completion for VA/VE and DFMA activity

  • Programing Languages: Java. Python and C# are a plus.

  • Experience with LabView, SQL, and CAN Bus Networks are a plus
